Michelle and her now husband Dave celebrated their wedding in a popular British location. One that encapsulates some of the best beaches in the country and is responsible for the birth of the good old Cornish Pasty..that's right, Cornwall! And by the sounds of it, this couple wouldn't have had it any other way.

Michelle came to Lief Bridal looking for a mature, elegant dress that said 'bridal', without being too over the top. As usual, Lief Bridal was more than happy to oblige! We paired her with a Benjamin Roberts 2730, a modern A-Line dress with embellished lace and cross straps to the back.

The wedding took place on a Thursday evening at the Hotel Legacy Victoria in Newquay, Cornwall, with a total of 70 guests; a big leap from the original 25 guest list! The hotel's Wedding Planner Sarah, played a huge part in ensuring that Michelle and Dave's day ran smoothly, going above and beyond to make sure that each guest's dietary needs were catered to. Sarah even took care of all of the packages Michelle posted to the venue once she had realised just how many things she needed to transport to Cornwall!
Michelle and Dave took a different approach to most on the morning of their wedding day. Dave spent his morning golfing with the pals, while Michelle started hers off by body boarding on Cornwall's ocean waves! And why not have some fun to kick start the day if that's what you fancy?! Michelle shows us that the morning of your big day should be spent by doing something that is personal and fun to you and your soon to be spouse. I mean come on now, how many brides can say they went body boarding on the MORNING of their wedding day?!
Not many is my guess, at least not in Britain!
One thing that is evident regarding Michelle and Dave's day, is that every part of it was suited to them both as individuals and as a couple. Being unimpressed by the whole suit and tie business, this couple ditched the ties and told their guests to attend the wedding in whatever they felt comfortable in, and yes, that included their wet suits if they so desired!
(No wet suits in sight but we definitely have a happy bride and groom!)
We recently caught up with our bride Michelle to ask for one piece of advice that she would give to future brides, and this is what she said.
"Advice from an older first-time bride...enjoy it all. From the planning of your wedding, to married life. I had an amazing time planning, from; my hen do’s, dress fittings, hair appointments, shopping and champagne trips, to my wedding day!"
Michelle was delighted to be able to say "I do", in a place that's home to many fond memories she has shared with loved ones in the past. It's definitely a place that she holds close to her heart, and we're delighted that she was able to experience one of the most memorable experiences of her life there!
